The Dolmen of Prédaire

This monument, is made up of scattered sandstone blocks and slabs in place clearly defining its different parts. To the west, the main terminal chamber was partly covered by a large block of white quartz which, for safety reasons, was recently deposited nearby.

Cheese Shop

It was in 1880, in a small village on the banks of the Loire, St Julien-de-Concelles, that the story begins. On the advice of a priest, Pierre Hivert invented a cheese: the "Gourmet's Delight". A few years later, in tribute to the holy man, the cheese became "Curé Nantais".

The submerged road

The Passage du Gois is a 4.2 km submersible road that connects the island of Noirmoutier to the mainland. Invisible half the time, this fragile link is also a wonderful place to live. Whether it's under the ocean or emerging from the waves, the Gois attracts as many birds looking for rest and food as it does foot fishermen and curious onlookers savoring nature's work. Crossing it is an exceptional event! It is used to reach Beauvoir-sur-Mer or to gather to fish for clams, oysters, and cockles. Its 9 markers serve as a refuge for the most daring who have been caught out by the rising waters

The Grand-Lieu Lake

Lake Grand-Lieu arouses mystery and passion.
It is glimpsed, it is guessed, it is sought, it reveals itself modestly to those who know how to tame it.

Located on a coastal migration route near the ocean and the Loire, Lake Grand-Lieu hosts 270 species of birds, making it the second largest ornithological reserve in France after the Camargue.
